Who suffers

For me to suffer, "i" need to exist.

Tirth

As in life, so in pilgrimage. The trick is keep walking gradually taking every seemingly discomfort in your stride. Chareveti chareveti ...

Better to ask for power of handling of issues in life rather than asking to removal of them. Issues will always be there. Learn to handle them with grace as did the avatars.

The real test of things you love to do is that you don't feel any desire to tell others   about it.

Pilgrimage is not to find God but to know how to find God everywhere and in everything.

God will definately come to your aid, but only after you come to your own.

Soham is a transition from pratham purusha to uttam purush.

When you see an object/person, try to see the origin and ending and the futility of it all.

Death

Fear is always of the unknown. We do not fear ghosts. Its just that we don't know what they would do to us. Hence the fear.
By extension, till the time we understand death, we will keep fearing it and will not be able to appreciate the wonderful journey that is life.
Janma sukhdam, marnam karunam.. death gives us another chance..

Random1

Wordliness/Modern Education is from one to many ... spirituality is from many to one.

Worldliness is developing personality, spirituality is dissolving personality.

In Bharat, we don't (used to) say "i did it", we said "it has been done (through me)".

Even in west, it used to be said "i practice enginnering for a living/livelihood" rather than "i am an engineer"

That which can be described  (vyakt) is called vyakti.

Swastha is not healthy, swastha is "established in Oneself".

Me and mine (2 of tripurandra)

Who am I?

Body/Mind/Intellect or soul?

From childhood, we have been saying "my body".
Now, what is mine cannot be me.
So the term "my soul" is a contradiction.

In the Gita, sense organs are the horses, mind is the rein, intellect is the charioteer and i am the chariot-rider.

Looks and Kaam.

Trying to discover the inner beauty, so maintaining external appearances seems to be a futile exercise.

The face is a reminder, an alarm as it were, to the goal in life, which is experiencing the oneness in everything.

No longer driven by the urge for people to like me (based on my appearances and otherwise) for when one starts diving into oneself, the boundaries between liked and liker starts vanishing. Who likes whom, and why does it matter.

Kaam, lobha, moh (basically false identification with this body) is the reason why we maintain appearances or try to present ourselves better.

Skin-deep of beauty, inevitably decaying every day to turn into constituent elements (earth mostly) soon and progeny of Manu wasting his/her time to get attached to it. Such a waste of human life.

Let not every bump on the body deceive you.

Few seconds of bodily pleasure is a huge price to pay for eternity of bliss.

Kaam is a big hurdle but persists only till the time we can perceive the Mother Goddess herself in every woman. Yet to reach that stage but determined to do so.

The real eyes see one in everything. Where is the woman and where is the man? And if the differentiation does not exist, how could kaam affect you?

Maturity

Mature is the person who understands that the world does not owe him/her anything, not even happiness/peaceful life.

The Yoga of Playing and Driving

Have we ever noticed why do we enjoy playing, or running or even driving for that matter? It is because we can (have to, actually, for driving) automatically  focus while doing such works and the mind is peaceful only when it has minimum number of thoughts: better if only one, which is concentrating (dhyan) only on the activity at hand, oblivious of constrainsts of time and fatigue; and best, if none (the samadhi or the orgasmic moment). Balancing in Yoga takes up so much of concentration that this state is easily achieved which is why tapasya in ancient times was done in Vrikshasan or Dhruvasana. Pleasure of driving is the pleasure of being one with the machine and control it as per will. What is not apparent is that there is at least one abstraction level still left! To feel one with the human body and able to control it. This is where Yoga comes in. The pleasure (or rather sense of calmness) will increase exponentially.

Spirituality of an Engineer

Never loose hope. If the voltage is positive, depletion has to end and inversion will start.

Prayer everyday is same as buffering in a path. Need to re-energise.

The Rx should fix itself rather than curse the Tx or lament the poor signal.

Cometh the hour....

I believe that higher a man/woman has to rise spiritually , greater are the challenges he/she has to face. And i mean face , not overcome for sometimes things might be out of our control and we might concede (even if  momentarily so) defeat but still it is said in Gita that when all is dark and gloomy , the light of the spirit shines the brightest. When there is nowhere to run, nothing else to do , no shore in sight , Rescue comes from within. The bond of Maya weakens and the clouds of doubts disperse to show the Almighty inside. Here and now , between borrowed time and bonus time , i start my awakening.

To help or not

Why do we help other people ? Why help anyone at all. The term has largely been reduced to giving miniscule amount of alms to the poor , weak and hungry which gives us a sense of satisfaction and empowerment to be able to change other people lives. And no, I would not ask you to donate whole heartedly. Donation is not help.  And in ancient times there were certain requirements and conditions for a person to be a donor or receiver. Also was prevalent the practice of Aparigraha in Niyama. Not any more. people love to accumulate and quench their unethical guilt in the form of some donation or other. Samaydaan , vidyadaan , shramadaan are things of the past. I am not being pessimistic here. Just suggesting some options. But above all why help at all. Why not keep working for own enjoyment or salvation than help anyone.
The vedantist helps because he understands that unless a man's stomach is full , he can't think of higher things. We were made that way . And for him it is a religious ceremony as if he were paying respect to the One himself. Who is he to help anyone and how could he ? He helps because he las lost his individuality and gained an identification among every other living soul and he sees himself in each of them. It is as if he is helping a divine part of himself. Feed them first and them help them so that they become able to help themselves.

To be or not to be

The question here is that is salvation only meant for the yogi, is everybody supposed to leave his job and become a yogi then ?
This is not the case. Your job/nature of work does not decide your fate, your attachment to it does !!! Actually , as discussed in Shivoham, there is no work which doesn't have both good and bad effects and you can either own the responsibility for both or neither.  Alternatively keep doing the work without attachment and care not for the results. Why work at all then ? Coz you must lay an example for those who will follow you but have not reached the same degree of religious understanding.  Even the creator works incessantly if you believe in One that is. Don't get attached to the work though , don't care for the results. Work for work's sake and you are in the footsteps of the yogi with the only difference being that he is walking faster than you towards that One realisation which we all crave whether or not we are aware of it.

Religion

Religion. Why is it necessary and what are the parameters if any applicable.  The vedantist define it as a process of realisation of inner self. Temples , churches and mosques are the kindergarten of religion. They help a man to start thinking in this direction.  But he is not limited by it. He is to take it forward till the day he identifies all beings as himself.  Rituals and customs are the little baby steps that may help to keep the mind focused initially but may have to done away with in the road forward as the thinking starts expanding and I don't mean the intellect. Intellect can only take u as far as the senses perceive which is nothing compared to what they can't.  For the beyond you need religion not in the sense that it is meant nowadays but in a way that can help every individual identify the divinity within.
How do you identify you are becoming religious ? When you can't help being cheerful all the time , when you find you have nothing more to ask in your prayers , when you are not fascinated by all the materialism around , when the never-ending fascination of this material body is gone and when the ever-present fear of dying one day is gone. That day, my friend, you are becoming religious.

Shivoham

Shivoham ! I am free. Existence knowledge bliss.  I become miserable only because I become weak. Because I can be conned by external environment into believing that it has made me miserable. It is like from escaping a terrible nightmare , the only solution is to wake up. But you need to Realise that inside the dream (as it once happened).  Nature is the like the elder sister who will eventually get u there but slows down your pace. You need to accelerate. Get beyond the senses for that. (Try pranayam for that) . There is no good work and no evil work. Time place and causation makes the same work good to some and evil to many others. Do work but don't get attached to it. Worship the inner God but not because you want something. You were born perfect. Sense enjoyment is the slowest path as it were. You will be saved the instant you want to be saved and by Yourself. Everything is the manifestation of the same energy around you. From the lowest worm to the highest princess. The senses can only show you limited things and makes you believe that you are limited as well. Seek no help. You are your own enemy and your own friend. Everything else is an illusion.
